Creating a New Asset Using Built-in Templates

Switcher Studio has several built-in templates to create media assets. For example, you can use Switcher’s Lower Thirds templates to display people’s names and titles, or the Social Overlays templates to display your social media handles during your broadcast. The instructions for creating assets differ based on what you’re creating, but they’re all relatively similar.

To begin creating a new asset from a template:

  1. Open Switcher Studio from the primary iOS device that you’ll use to run Switcher during your broadcast.

  2. Tap Use as Switcher.

  3. Tap the + button.

  4. Tap Text & Graphics.

  5. Select the type of graphic you want to create (e.g. Titles, Lower Thirds, Social Overlays).

  6. Tap one of the built-in templates.

  7. Tap the text under the template.

  8. Delete the pre-populated text and enter your text.

  9. Adjust any of the settings as needed.

  10. Tap Done.
