Streaming Platforms Integrated With Switcher

You can stream to numerous locations with the Switcher app, making it a flexible and user-friendly way to create your content. Choose from one solitary destination, multiple destinations simultaneously, or even straight to your own website! We'll outline how to do all of the above below:

Table Of Contents

Streaming To An Integrated Platform

Switcher has built-in integrations with the following platforms:

  • Facebook
  • YouTube
  • Twitch

This means that selecting them as a destination and streaming to them is as simple as tapping an icon on the screen, logging in with your standard username and password, and entering a Title and a Destination for your stream!

You can stream to one destination at a time, or you can simulcast (sending the same stream to multiple platforms simultaneously) with Switcher. This feature is included on all Plans, including while on a Trial!

Mix and match our integrated platforms to your heart's desire. You can also add your Video Catalog or a Custom RTMP destination into the mix, as well.

Streaming To Platforms Via Custom RTMP

While using the direct integrations is quick, easy, and the most popular way to stream with Switcher, RTMP opens the doors for more platforms and more control on those platforms!

You'll need to grab the Stream Key and the Server URL from the settings of your desired platform, and then you can input it into Switcher as a customized RTMP Channel, allowing you to go live directly to that platform without the need for a direct Switcher integration.

Streaming To A Collection On Your Website

Collections are a great alternative to social media platforms. Once a Collection is embedded into your website, you'll no longer need to worry about platform stability, ads, or confusing settings (as is the case when streaming to a platform like Facebook, YouTube, or Twitch). Many users are interested in streaming to their own website but do not want to abandon the viewers who prefer the Facebook experience.

Running Multiple Streams That Overlap In Time

While it's easy to simulcast with Switcher, some users wish to produce multiple streams that overlap one another. In other words, they want to stream a football game to YouTube while streaming a basketball game to Facebook, and both games are happening at the same time.

Your Switcher account can only be logged into one device at a time.

If you need to stream two different streams that overlap in time, you will need two different Switcher accounts active on their own subscription plans. Account A will log into one iPad as the main switching device and run Stream A, while Account B will log into a different iPad as the main switching device and run Stream B.

If you need three or more Switcher accounts, please email support@switcherstudio.com, and we'll see if we can craft a bundle that works for your individual needs!
