Using Switcher For Recording Videos Only

While Switcher is known for its ability to stream to multiple platforms (including common platforms like Facebook, YouTube, and Twitch and also your own personal Video Catalog), you do not have to go live. Many Switcher users prefer to record their videos without livestreaming.

Switcher allows you to record your videos easily, drastically reducing the time needed in postproduction compared to the traditional method of recording with a standard video camera, importing your footage, and editing in a postproduction software.

To record without livestreaming:

• Go to the Outputs tab (box and arrow icon) on your main switching device.

• Tap the grey text to the right of "Broadcast Mode", and choose Recording from the dropdown menu that appears.

• Tap on the big red button in the top-right corner when you are ready to record!

• Tap the square stop button when you are finished recording.
