Using Switcher's Unified Audio Source Control
Switcher's Unified Audio Source Control feature allows you to switch between external microphones while using your main switching device. You'll also see a pop-up at the bottom of the screen whenever an audio source is changed.
The Unified Audio Source Control allows you to switch between microphones without the need for an external audio mixer. However, if you need multiple microphones to be live at the same time (such as for a podcast or interview), you will still need to use an external mixer.

Basic Requirements
Please note that the Unified Audio Source Control feature is only available on devices running the following systems:
- iOS 26 or higher
- Switcher app version 13.12.0 or higher
If you're running on Switcher app version 13.11.0 or below, you will not see an option for the Audio Input at all.
If you're running on iOS 18 or below, the Audio Input icon simply won't work (you will tap on it, but nothing appears on the screen)
Changing The Audio Source
When you toggle to the audio tab, you'll see the current audio source. By default (when nothing is plugged into the main switching device), this is the Built-In Microphone of the main switching device.

After connecting another audio device (either via port or via Bluetooth), you'll see this reflected in the Audio Input field. A splash banner will also appear at the bottom for five seconds, letting you know that the audio source has changed.

Tap on the name of the audio source to open a pop-up menu:

This menu shows the name of the current audio source, as well as displaying a list of all potential audio sources. Tap on any other audio source to switch to it instead.

After tapping the new audio source, you'll see:
- The checkmark be placed beside it
- The splash banner appear at the bottom of the screen
- The name change in the Audio Input spot beneath the window
Tap anywhere outside of the Audio Input window to close it and return to the main Switcher interface.
