Creating Your Brand Profile

Setting up your Brand Profile makes it easy to create assets for your production that match your brand. Your Brand Profile can include:

A Logo
Up to three Brand Colors

When creating new assets from the built-in Switcher Studio templates, you can apply your Brand Profile with one tap. You can also choose to automatically apply your Brand Profile when working with Cards.

You can set up and edit your Brand Profile in the Switcher Studio online Dashboard or directly in the Switcher Studio iOS app. You do not have to set it up in both places.

Setting up your Brand Profile in the Switcher Studio Dashboard

The Dashboard setup is preferable if you prefer to use a computer and your logo is accessible from the computer.

Log into the Switcher Studio Dashboard here ((use the same email and password as the app): https://dashboard.switcherstudio.com
In the top left, click the arrow next to your email address.
Click Brand Profile.

Adding your logo

On the Brand Profile page, click the + icon under Brand Logo.

A window will appear, for you to select your logo from your device.
Click the logo file.
Click Open.
Once the file successfully uploads, it will appear in place of the + icon.

Scroll to the bottom of the Brand Profile page and click Save.

Adding your brand colors

To set a brand color based on an RGB code or from a color picker:

Click the colored rectangle.
Enter the RGB code at the bottom.
Or, use the slider to choose a color spectrum and use the color picker at the top to choose a color.

Repeat this process for the other colors.
Scroll to the bottom of the Brand Profile page and click Save.

To set a brand color based on the hex color code:

Click the rectangle on the right.
Delete the sample hex code.
Type the hex code for your brand color.

Repeat this process for the other colors.
Scroll to the bottom of the Brand Profile page and click Save.

Adding your social profile links

Currently, the Social Profile links are not applied to assets in the app. In the future, these links will be used with Social Overlays. At that time, we will update this article with instructions.

Automatically applying your Brand Profile to Cards

If you would like to have your Brand Profile settings automatically apply when you are creating a new Card, check the box next to "Use Brand Profile values as default for all new templates." We recommend checking this box to make it easier to create new Cards.

Note: Currently the option for automatically applying the Brand Profile to assets is limited to Cards.

Setting up your Brand Profile in the Switcher Studio App

The in-app setup is preferable if you do not have a computer, and if your logo is accessible from the iOS device.

To set up your Brand Profile in the iOS app:

Tap Profile in the bottom-right corner.
Tap Brand Profile.
The Brand Profile page will appear.

Adding your logo

On the Brand Profile page, tap the + icon under Brand Logo.
A window will appear, for you to select the destination of your logo. If the logo is in the Photos app on the device, tap Photo Library. If the logo is on the device but not in the Photos app, tap Browse.

Locate the logo file and tap it.
Tap Use.
Once the file successfully uploads, it will appear in place of the + icon.
Scroll to the bottom of the Brand Profile page and tap Save.

Adding your brand colors

To set a brand color from a color picker:

Click the colored rectangle.
Select a color from the options.

Repeat this process for the other colors.
Scroll to the bottom of the Brand Profile page and tap Save.

To set a brand color based on the hex color code:

Click the rectangle on the right.
The device keyboard will appear.
Delete the sample hex code.
Type the hex code for your brand color.

Repeat for the other colors.
Scroll to the bottom of the Brand Profile page and tap Save.

Adding your social profile links

Currently, the Social Profile links are not applied to assets in the app. In the future, these links will be used with Social Overlays. At that time, we will update this article with instructions.

Automatically applying your Brand Profile to Cards

Applying your Brand Profile to Assets in Switcher Studio

Once you have set up your Brand Profile, you will have the option to apply it to various assets, including Cards, Titles, Lower Thirds, etc, in the app.

To use your Brand Profile with Cards:

If you have selected the option to use the Brand Profiles values as the default, when you create a new Card, your brand will automatically be applied. Follow these steps to create a branded Card:

From the main production screen of the Switcher Studio iOS app, tap the blue + button.
Tap Card.
Tap the Card type you want to use.
Tap the template you want to use.
Your Brand Profile should automatically be applied and the "Apply" option will be greyed out.
- To adjust how the colors are applied skip down to Customizing how Brand Colors are Applied.
Customize the Cards as needed.
Tap Done in the top right corner to save the new Card.
Once saved, the Card will appear in the Sources/Production panel.

To use your Brand Profile with other assets:

From the main production screen of the Switcher Studio iOS app, tap the blue + button.
Tap the asset type you want to use.
Choose the specific asset template you want to use.
The Properties editor will appear once you have selected a template.
If the asset has a logo placeholder or uses colors, the Properties editor will have a section for Brand Profile.
To use your profile, tap Apply.

Note: If you have not set up a Brand Profile, you will have the option to "Configure" rather than "Apply."

Customizing how Brand Colors are Applied

You can change which Brand Colors are used and the order they are applied, by using the Theme option in the Properties editor.

From the Properties editor, tap Apply if you have not already applied the Brand Profile.
Tap the color swatch next to Theme.

The Theme window will appear.
Tap Shuffle Selected Colors to change the order of the selected colors. As you make changes, the preview window will update in real-time.
Keep tapping Shuffle Selected Colors to toggle through all the options.

When you are happy with the colors, tap the X in the top right corner of Theme window.

Editing Your Brand Profile

You can change your logo or brand colors at any time either in the online Dashboard or directly in the app:

To edit your Brand Profile in the Switcher Studio Dashboard:

Go to the Brand Profile page of the Dashboard here: https://dashboard.switcherstudio.com/brand-profile.
Edit as needed.
Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Save.

To edit your Brand Profile in the iOS app:

From the launch screen, tap the hamburger menu (three horizontal lines) in the top left corner.
Tap Brand Profile.
The Brand Profile page will appear.
Edit as needed.
Scroll down to the bottom of the page and tap Save.
