Streaming Without Recording

In the Outputs tab of the Switcher app there is a Local Recording toggle. By default, the Local Recording toggle is on so a copy of the recording will be saved to the device storage. This is the recommendation because it will allow you to have an uninterrupted recording even if your stream disconnects or experiences interruption. If you wish to stream without recording locally due to device storage or any other reason, you can follow the steps below:

• Open the Switcher app and enter the Studio.
• In the Outputs tab, scroll down to find the More Options section.
• Tap the Local Recording toggle to disable it. It will go from blue to grey.

Now, when you tap the record button, you will go live ONLY. Notice that in the top-right of the screen, the greyed out box now says Live, rather than the original Live+Rec as shown in the images below.
