Streaming to a LinkedIn Event

On October 15, 2021 LinkedIn removed the ability for people to livestream to an Event. LinkedIn has said they will begin rolling out the Event livestreaming feature again in November. As soon as it is available, we will provide updated instructions for using Switcher Studio to stream to an Event.

If you have an existing Event that you planned on streaming to, we recommend the following workaround as a way to share your livestream with the attendees:

• Create a new scheduled LinkedIn stream in Switcher Studio.

• The scheduled stream will appear as a post on your LinkedIn page. Go to the post and copy the link to the post as follows,

  • Click the three horizontal dots on the scheduled post.

  • Click Copy link to post.

  • You will receive a confirmation message that the link has been copied to your clipboard.

• Go to the Event page, and paste the link for the scheduled stream as a comment on the page.

Although the stream itself will not appear on the Event page, the attendees can access the link to the new stream.
