One of the easiest ways to add a professional touch to your live videos is by using overlays, including lower-thirds, logos, and full-screen graphics.

While you can create your own graphics and import them into Switcher Studio, there are many users who may prefer in-app graphics creation.

Creating Text Graphics Within The App

To create graphics from within the app, click on the blue "+" insertion button, which is located at the bottom of the Sources Window. This is the same place that you go to import pre-made graphics or other camera sources.

Select Text & Graphics from the assets choices.

The Text & Graphics window will appear. Let's explore Titles first.

Select the style of overlay that you like best. You can then customize it to fit your needs, such as the wording, colour scheme, sizing, and more.

Once you have adjusted the overlay to your liking, tap Done in the top-right corner of the properties window.

Your new text overlay will now appear as an option in the Sources Window. Tap on it to make it Live for your audience.

Creating Lower-Thirds Within The App

To create lower-thirds from within the app, click on the blue "+" insertion button, which is located at the bottom of the Sources Window. This is the same place that you go to import pre-made graphics or other camera sources.

Select Text & Graphics from the assets choices.

The Text & Graphics window will appear. Let's explore Lower Thirds.

Select the lower-third template that you like, and customize it to suit the text, colour, and position that you prefer. You can adjust the sizing by pinch-to-zoom with your fingers, and you can adjust the positioning by dragging it with your fingers.

You can adjust the colour by either

  1. Dragging your finger on the screen.
  2. Typing in the desired HEX Code at the top of the screen.
  3. Dragging your finger on the slide bar.

When you are satisfied with your lower-third's appearance, tap Done in the top-right corner of the Properties window.

Your new lower-third will now appear as an option in the Sources Window. Tap on it to make it Live for your audience.
