Video Catalog FAQs

Table Of Contents:

Where do I manage individual Collections? (Where did my Switcher Players go?)

As of August 2024, “Switcher Players” have been renamed “Collections”!

You can access your existing Collections by going to the Video Catalog settings in your Switcher Dashboard. On this page, your Collections will be listed. You can click the pencil icon to enter the settings for the individual Collection. To learn more, read the Video Collections Overview article.

What is the best way to organize the Video Catalog?

The Video Catalog can be organized into Collections, which are groups of videos that you can curate. You can utilize Collections to showcase themes, seasons, genres, or other categories of content. Videos hosted by Switcher can appear in multiple Collections, so create as many Collections as you need for your desired output. Check out How to Add a Video Catalog to Your Website to learn more.

How do I embed my Video Catalog?

To embed your Video Catalog on your website, go to your Video Catalog settings in the Switcher Dashboard. Click Copy Code below the Embed Code section. Next, open your website editor and paste the embed code in the desired section. Lastly, save and publish your changes, and your Video Catalog will be live on your website. More Video Catalog embed information can be found here.

Note: For WordPress website users, your hosting must be on one of their paid plans so that you can install an iFrame plugin for code embedding. Using the free plan’s Custom HTML Block will not work!

How do I share only one video?

To share just one video with a share link or embed, go to the Video Library in your Switcher Dashboard. Click the share icon next to the video you want to share and you can choose to copy an embed code or direct URL. Alternatively, you can create a Collection that has only one video and share that Collection’s link or embed it. Read How to Add a Single Video to Your Website to learn more.

Can I embed a Collection on multiple websites?

Absolutely! Once you’ve got the embed code for a Collection, you can place it into the code of as many websites as you desire. There is no limit!
