Uploading Non-Switcher Videos To The Video Catalog

The Video Catalog is an online video player that allows you to stream directly to your website, giving you complete control over when, where, and how your content is shared.

While you can easily import videos created with Switcher directly from your Video Library into a Video Catalog, it is also easy to import a video that was not created with Switcher into the Video Catalog, too. This gives creators intense flexibility on which videos they can add to their Video Catalog.

Importing A Non-Switcher Video Into The Video Catalog

To get started into your Dashboard at dashboard.switcherstudio.com, and then click on "Video Catalog" within the Video CMS tab on the left-hand menu.

Your current Colelctions are housed here. Click on the one you'd like to add additional content to, or click the orange "NEW COLLECTION" button to create a new Collection.

You'll see the Settings for your chosen Collection. Scroll down and choose Playlist to add a new video to the Collection.

Click on the orange "ADD VIDEOS" button to add a new video to your Collection's Playlist.

From here, the "Add Videos" window opens. You can now select your videos in one of two ways:

  • Click on the blue text for "Click to upload to playlist", and select the videos from your computer's harddrive
  • Open a secondary window showing your video files, and drag+drop the ones you'd like onto the box

Fill in the fields for your new video. Remember that your viewers will see this information! Then, scroll to the bottom and click the orange "UPLOAD" button.

Your new video will begin to upload. This may take several minutes depending on the size of your video file.

You're new video is now visible in the playlist! The latest upload always goes to the top of the playlist Use the handles (the icon with a cluster of six little dots) on the left-hand side to rearrange the videos however you'd like.
