How to Use Analytics With Switcher Player

The analytics tool for Switcher Player allows you to see information such as your view count for your videos and purchases of Gated Content.

How to Access Your Switcher Player Analytics

To view the total analytics for your entire video library:

  • Log into the Switcher Dashboard.
  • Expand Video CMS in the toolbar and select Analytics.
  • Views will be selected by default. You can click the Revenue tab to view analytics from any Gated Content you have sold.

To view individual video analytics:

  • Open the Switcher app.
  • Tap Video Library in the sidebar.
  • Tap the video you would like to view analytics for.

How to Use the Views Analytics

By default, the views tab will be selected when going to the Analytics page. From the Views tab, you can access the following data within the specified time ranges. The total count for the selected date range is listed to the left, and the daily activity can be viewed on the line graph by hovering your mouse over a date.

  • Views (count)
  • Watch Time
  • Unique Viewers

How to Use the Revenue Analytics

Tap the Revenue tab at the top of the Analytics page to view data on your Gated Content purchases. The total count for the selected date range is listed to the left, and the daily activity can be viewed on the line graph by hovering your mouse over a date.

How to Adjust the Date Range

  • To change the date range of the data, click the Range dropdown in the top-right corner.
  • Select the desired option:
    • Last 7 Days
    • Last 30 Days
    • Month to Date
    • Year to Date

    • Custom

How to Export Analytics Data

  • Log into the Switcher Dashboard.
  • Expand Video CMS in the toolbar and select Analytics.
  • Adjust the Date Range to select the data you would like to export.
  • Click Download CSV next to the data set you would like to export.
    • Views
    • Watch Time
    • Unique Viewers

How to Rearrange Analytics

If you would like to adjust the view of your Analytics, you can rearrange the different data sets on the screen to bring your most used reports to the top.

  • Log into the Switcher Dashboard.
  • Expand Video CMS in the toolbar and select Analytics.
  • Click and hold the six dots at the bottom left of the data set. (i.e. Unique Viewers)
  • Drag and drop the data set to the desired location.
